More on Living Altars

My last blog was about slaves using living trees as altars. I continue here. By way of adapting to their new environment, the slaves chose a beech, an oak, or maybe a silver fir as a focal point for spiritual activities. In this way, the plantation owner never learned that his slaves worshipped their African gods right under his nose. You can do something similar by adopting a Soul Tree, which I will detail in my next blog. I’m dividing up this information into several blogs so you can access it in digestible chunks.
